As of August 2018 the State of California has changed the requirements of the “Prop 65” law. We now must list on our website any possible chemicals the can cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive problem.

Very Bad - Impossible to Solder | |
| Tinning and soldering the external/barrel connection is easy, but the pin connection is impossible. The little piece inside the housing is short, untinned/uncoated and therefore will not allow solder to stick, flow, and provide a reliable connection. Overheating occurs and the dielectric plastic melts and deforms. Also, the inside of the connector has a metal fragment, perhaps left over from the cutting of the threads. It almost appears to be a retaining ring/clip of some sort but not necessary. Leaving the ring/clip/fragment inside the barrel may cause a short-circuit. Overall, these are bad parts and should not be sold. | ||
